NOTICE OF DISTRICT ELECTION NOVEMBER 5, 2024

Two positions on the OLWD Board of Directors are up for election at the November 5, 2024 General Election.  OLWD is a landowner-voting district and only owners of real property within OLWD are eligible to vote.  Please see the Landowner Notice on this page for more information regarding requirements for voting, eligibility requirements for candidates, and other information regarding the election.  A sample Nomination Letter and Designation of Representative are also provided on this page.

The candidate filing period opens on July 15, 2024 and closes on August 9, 2024, but may be extended to August 14, 2024 if any incumbent fails to file.  Candidate paperwork is available from and must be filed in person with the San Joaquin County Registrar of Voters.

Board Member Compensation

  • Effective January 1, 2022, compensation for members of the District Board of Directors was set at a rate of $150 per calendar day for attendance at regular and special meetings of the Board of Directors.  That compensation will increase 5% per year effective every January 1.  For 2023, compensation is $157.50 per calendar day for attendance at regular and special meetings of the Board of Directors.  Compensation is not available for activities other than regular or special Board meetings.  No benefits are provided other than state mandated Workers' Compensation coverage and federally mandated FICA coverage with only the employer's share paid by the District.  For 2024, compensation is $164.37 per calendar day for attendance at regular and special meetings of the Board of Directors.
